Here are the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions. If you do not find the answer you're looking for here, please don't hesitate to e-mail us with questions.

Q: What is check in and check out time?
A: Check in is after 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, and check out time is noon. Upon request, some flexibility on check in and check out times may be available.

Q: Do you provide cleaning services?
A: SugarLeaf Retreat will provide cleaning services; however, there are a few things required of groups before leaving, such as stripping beds, running the dishwasher, etc.

Q: Is smoking permitted?
A: No. SugarLeaf Retreat is a smoke-free environment, and we ask that you kindly respect this rule.

Q: Do we have to share beds or are there bunk beds? Is bedding provided?
A: There are no bunk beds, and there is no sharing of beds. The cabin has 16 beds, two of which are queen size, so every guest gets their own custom-made log bed. SugarLeaf Retreat will provide a bottom sheet and pillow, and guests are asked to provide a cover/blanket.

Q: Two of the bedrooms are located on the lower level. How quiet is it?
A: All interior walls have been insulated on both floors. The hallway on the lower level can be closed off with a separate door to ensure a peaceful night's rest.

Q: Is the kitchen stocked with supplies? Is there a microwave and dishwasher?
A: The kitchen is equipped with a stainless steel stove, an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a microwave, and cooking essentials.

Q: What's in the area?
A: Downtown Crosslake, just minutes from either cabin, with a full grocery store, restaurants (delivery, take out, and catering), shopping, golf, mini golf, etc. Pequot Lakes is also within 10 minutes from the cabins and offers two scrapbooking stores, restaurants, shopping, and golf.
